BoatFellows enables boat owners to effortlessly rent out cabins for single passages or even their entire yacht (with or without skipper). Fellow boaters can easily search for their desired destination, time period, yacht size and maximum crew capacity. BoatFellows also allows fellow boaters to view profiles as well as experience levels of yacht hosts before booking a trip, and to communicate directly with yacht hosts through the app in case of questions.

Let’s be honest, social media isn’t ideal for managing cabin rentals due to its lack of search and filter functionality. Operating and managing a website for this purpose is often too much of a hurdle, considering costs for web space and domain, SEO optimization, keeping the website secure, and ensuring privacy compliance.

Our cabin rental feature eliminates the need for having own websites, and provides a clean and easy-to-use platform for both those who want to share their yacht and those seeking new adventures.

In contrast to our yacht charter feature, skipper services are provided on your own boat ⛵️. This could be a yacht transfer from the factory to your home berth, passage accompaniment for challenging routes where you want to rely on professional help (such as Atlantic crossings, the English Channel or elsewhere), local guides to show you the best spots and activities, or individual training on your own boat (that’s a dream, isn’t it?).

The goal of BoatFellows is to connect private boaters with individual professionals, allowing you to find skippers and filter offered services by language, location and experience level.

Today, numerous sailing schools offer a wide variety of courses and licenses. However, with most sailing schools having their own websites (not all of which reflect state-of-the-art technology and design), it can be challenging to compare different options that match your region, language and skill level to find the perfect training for you! Additionally, many individual instructors have no web presence at all and only use social media to advertise their services, making it even harder to compare all available offers.

BoatFellows aims to bridge this gap by connecting professionals with those eager to learn new skills or master existing ones. Our platform makes it easy to filter through the myriad of potential offers, helping you find the perfect training. It’s a match!

Being new to boating or buying your first yacht often raises many questions, such as which model to choose, what accessories are necessary, how to install systems like solar panels, wind generators, or other electrical peripherals, and how to maintain your motor, teak deck, or furniture. Additionally, buying a used yacht requires extensive knowledge to properly assess its value and condition.

On the other hand, there is a world of experienced boaters eager to share their knowledge, either for free or for a small fee, either remotely or onsite.

BoatFellows aims to connect these two worlds: boating novices seeking guidance and experienced boaters offering their expertise. By doing so, BoatFellows enables true peer-to-peer support, allowing novices to access a wide range of services, and experienced boaters to earn extra money while sharing their skills

As an alternative to owning an entire yacht just for yourself, shared ownership offers the opportunity to own a yacht with others, thereby sharing the costs, the responsibility and the fun.

BoatFellows offers a convenient way to find other owners that match your profile and interests. It allows to filter by yacht flag (the country where your future yacht will be registered), home berth (the actual location of the yacht), your preferred yacht type, build year and length as well as the profiles of your future co-owners (e.g., to filter for specific languages on board).

Our last feature (for now) is to find storage for your yacht or accessories, be it temporary (e.g. during the winter) or permanent.

There are numerous places where people have space available and would like to earn some extra money by providing you with the space you need, from old farms to other facilities.
